Solar Lamp Outreach for Schools & Learning Centres

On 24 June 2025 in Abuja, GDGI, in partnership with the Smiling Simon Greenbuild Foundation through Light Up Africa, delivered over 150 solar-powered reading lamps to students at Child Care Trust School (Bwari) and GSS Piwoyi (Municipal Area Council).

The distribution was led by GDGI President Angelina Ugben and supported by Chief Dr. Anita Nana Okuribido, and forms part of GDGI’s wider Energy Solutions focus area extending clean, reliable light to students so that lack of electricity is no longer a barrier to studying after dark.
