GDGI Officially Launches at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja

The Global Disabilities Green Initiative officially launched on 26 June 2025 at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja, bringing together disability leaders, government representatives, royal representatives, and country directors from the ILO, WHO and UNDP.

The launch featured panel discussions on disability-led climate action, setting out GDGI’s intent to place persons with disabilities at the center of Nigeria’s renewable energy, climate policy, and sustainable agriculture agendas not as beneficiaries alone, but as leaders shaping the transition.
